Kingdom Kids Day at Burke Mountain: Expanding Outdoor Opportunities for Local Youth

February 25, 2026

Monday, March 2nd: $15 Lift Tickets, $15 Rentals, $15 Lessons.

On March 2, local students and families are invited to take part in Kingdom Kids Day at Burke Mountain Resort, a special event designed to make skiing and snowboarding affordable and accessible for youth across the Northeast Kingdom. This annual event focuses on getting more kids outside and active during the winter by offering deeply discounted access to the mountain.

During Kingdom Kids Day, students from Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans Counties—and their families—can enjoy reduced-cost skiing and riding opportunities. The event typically includes $10 lift tickets, $10 lessons, and $10 equipment rentals, making it an affordable way for beginners to try skiing or snowboarding and for experienced riders to spend a full day on the mountain. Reservations may be required in advance for lessons and rentals due to limited availability.

Kingdom Kids Day is part of a broader effort to remove barriers to outdoor recreation and help local youth build confidence and skills through winter sports. Programs like this encourage healthy lifestyles and help students develop a lasting connection to the outdoors while enjoying one of the Northeast Kingdom’s most important community resources.

Events like Kingdom Kids Day highlight the strong partnership between local organizations and Burke Mountain to ensure that all students—regardless of experience or financial barriers—have the opportunity to participate in winter recreation. For many families, March 2 is a chance to experience the mountain together in a fun, supportive, and affordable environment.
