Kingdom East Preschool Programs Recognized by Vermont Agency of Education (VT AOE)

February 11, 2026

ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ District is proud to share exciting news from our early childhood programs! All three of our school-based preschool sites (Lyndon Town School, Burke Town School, and Concord School) have been formally recognized by the Vermont Agency of Education  for achieving 85% or higher on the December 2025 Teaching Strategies GOLD® checkpoint.

This recognition highlights the dedication of our early educators and staff to providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for our youngest learners. The Teaching Strategies GOLD® assessment is an evidence-based tool used statewide to support instruction, track student growth, and inform individualized learning plans. Reaching this benchmark reflects both strong instructional practices and timely, thoughtful documentation of student progress.

In addition to this achievement, Concord School Preschool and Burke Town School Preschool were also awarded a prestigious 5-STAR rating through Vermont’s STARS (STep Ahead Recognition System) in November, which is the highest level of recognition available. This designation reflects a deep commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in early childhood education.

We are incredibly proud of our preschool teams for their hard work, collaboration, and focus on creating supportive learning environments where every child can thrive. These accomplishments demonstrate Kingdom East’s ongoing commitment to quality early education and positive outcomes for families across our communities.

Please join us in congratulating our amazing educators and celebrating this important milestone!
