Kingdom East Honored with Vermont Fish & Wildlife's Partner to "Let's Go Fishing" Award

September 12, 2025

We are thrilled to share some exciting news with our Kingdom East community!

This year, ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ District has been recognized by the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department’s Let’s Go Fishing Program with the annual Partner to "Let’s Go Fishing” award! This honor celebrates our district's commitment to providing students with enriching outdoor education opportunities, specifically through our growing aquatic education programs.

Over the spring and summer months, Kingdom East schools have significantly expanded access to fishing education, giving our students hands-on learning experiences that connect them with Vermont’s beautiful natural resources. Our dedicated staff have gone above and beyond, not only organizing numerous fishing programs but also taking the initiative to become certified instructors through the Let’s Go Fishing program.

This award is a testament to the hard work of our educators and their belief in the value of outdoor learning. Through fishing, our students are learning patience, environmental stewardship, and the joy of spending time in nature—skills and values that will serve them for life.

The award will be officially presented at the Instructor Appreciation Banquet hosted by Vermont Fish & Wildlife on September 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Camp Plymouth State Park in Ludlow, VT. We are honored by this recognition and grateful for the continued partnership with Vermont Fish & Wildlife.

Thank you to all the Kingdom East staff who made this possible, and to Vermont Fish & Wildlife for supporting our mission to provide meaningful, real-world learning experiences for our students.

Let’s keep the momentum going—and keep fishing!
